Banana crazy!

Today I felt a bit crazy...and as a result, have ended up with bananas on my nails. Perfect logic!

This bright and fun design is great for sunny days and has that lovely tropical feel to it.

It's relatively simple to do, although the black outline does require a steady hand! Is it a challenge you're willing to accept?

Doodle nails!

A quirky little design with a 'back to school' kind of feel to it. This manicure was done for day 12 of the  Californails May nail art challenge. (see previous posts for more information)

A simple looking design that is great for beginner nail artists who want to step it up a bit!

One of the first designs where I used my Barry M nail art pen as well!

Newspaper nails

A very popular manicure that is all over the internet. Here is my take on newspaper nails!

A relatively simple manicure to do. All you will need is a white polish, newspaper cuttings, rubbing alcohol (or vodka) and a top coat.

Optional extras include the letter detail on the thumb. For this you will need a black polish, a nail art brush/striper and a pink polish.

All it takes is 4 simple steps!

Now on Bloglovin' !!

Neon nails!

Day 7 of the May nail art challenge! (shh...we'll pretend that this post isn't late!)

The theme for this was 'neon', and with not having many neon colours in my polish collection, I decided to set a few of the colours again black to make them look as bright as possible. And then I came up with this striping tape mani!

All you will need to achieve this manicure is striping tape, a black polish, and two or 3 bright colours of your choice (white polish is an optional extra).

Flower nail art

This was the manicure I created for Day 1 of the Californails 'May nail art challenge'. The theme was 'flowers'.

I've done a 'vintage flower' manicure before, so wanted to have a go at something a bit different. I saw this flower design online as an accent nail for a bridal manicure, and thought I'd put my own twist on it!

The closely spaced flowers are supposed to represent bouquets, and I thought an accent glittered nail would match perfectly!

May nail-art challenge

This month I've decided to take part in Californails 'May Nail Art Challenge'. I've never done one of these before, but I've seen them around quite a lot on Instagram and thought they were a great way of getting inspired. It's just an excuse for a bit of fun really!

What is a nail art challenge?
Anyone can host one, and anyone can take part! Themes for manicures are laid out for the month, and the idea is that by taking part in one, you paint your nails with the corresponding themes on the given dates. Simple!
There are no winners or losers, it's all just about having a bit of fun and joining in.

As you can see by the date I'm posting this...I'm a bit behind already! However on the 1st May, I did to a 'flower inspired' mani. And the post for that will be coming soon!

I'll be doing my best to keep up with the challenge (famous last words). But I guess I'll just have to see how it goes!

I'm most looking forward to day 10 (because I've never matched my nails to my outfit before) and day 25 because I already know what I'm doing for that and can't wait!

See you in the next post!

Floyd-spiration!

Today's post is a tribute to Pink Floyd's legendary album 'The Dark Side of the Moon'.

Not only does this manicure allow you to pay homage to (let's face it) an amazing album, but your nails get to rock an awesome look at the same time!!
